Wednesday 7-10-24

 This morning, I was debating if I wanted to go to the pool or if I wanted to seek other things to do because of everything going on

So I got down on my knees, and I prayed again that I would be forgiven for the feelings I had toward the Bishop last night

And then I proceeded to decide what color my tie is going to be today…

How I decide my tie

I think about what aspect in my life I’m working on for the day

For example, and this is actually

 how I get my color of my tie for the day

I use a color code for my scriptures

Anything in red talks about love happiness joy 

Anything in Orange talks about feasting or fasting or talking about the elect of God

Yellow talks about God…Jesus Christ… Holy Ghost…Scripture  and so on

Green Talks about faith, and that helps me remember because of growth of trees and things that grow 

just like I want my testimony to grow

Blue Talks about baptism and service and tithing And to me this represents being brought down in the water and being humbled by the things that we need to do to stay focused 

Purple, To me means royalty. So I have the priesthood and ordination and anything that has to do with priesthood or apostles or prophets in purple

Brown is my most important color because it represents the dust of the Earth

And that is what I am 

that is what we all are without God

And so every time I mark something in my scriptures, I know that it’s talking directly to me in brown

And then i have  black and that’s evil in my scripture marking

…….

So whatever I’m working on for the day is what color of  tie I pick

I was working on so many different things.

 This is the tie I picked for the day.

And by using my color code,

 I can remember and focus on what I’m working on 

or 

thinking about 

Having my tie as an amazing reminder of

How my morning started

Before I start on my morning, I got a scripture from somebody yesterday that I forgot to add so I need to do that right away

I asked one of the Therapist at the pool yesterday for a scripture and the scripture he gave me was

Alma 48:17

When I showed up to the pool this morning,

 I waved to a few people as I was walking past the pool windows and they waved back and then I entered the pool area said hello to Everybody

I then checked a few things to make sure everything was good before I got in

I talked to one of the technicians and told him I need to talk to him later when he gets a chance, but no rush

And then I proceeded to get ready to swim

Two of my really good sisters were in the pool

And I was able to tell them briefly about what was going on

And I told them about the Bishop last night

And I was disappointed and everything, but I had to trust him

And later on about half an hour later, one of my sisters came to me and said

I am very impressed that you did not talk negative or bad about your Bishop in anyway

And then she thanked me for talking today

She Answered my prayer from last night 

And then her and I talked for a good long time

About many things in her life and mine, and she gave me tons of great advice

One of her piece of advice was to go to the food coalition and see if I can volunteer with them

So I decided before I was going to the temple that I was going to go over the coalition and discuss with them on how I can volunteer and so I don’t just get free food. I can work for it as a trade.

I went to the collision and I talked to The person that was in charge

And he sent me to the website that I need to go to when I am ready to do it

I Shook his hand and walked out

I then proceeded to drive to the Provo Temple in East Bay area

And I saw a family taking pictures so I did not want to bother them

But I saw two more sisters walking out of the temple and they were walking directly to me, not down the Steps

So I said, did you come out of the temple and they both said yes 

I said is it OK if I ask you a question?

And they looked at me kind of weird 

and I said it’s OK

It’s a good question.

I said at the top of your head name any scripture that you can 

and write it down for me

Please

And this stumped them both

  they were both struggling to think of a scripture

And my sister on the left said 

oh is that your book of Mormon? 

I said yes and she said can  I borrow it

I handed it to her

She Started to scroll through it looking for her scripture

And she said wow, this is really difficult because it’s marked different from mine

And then the other sister right next to her, pulled out her phone and started looking for her scripture that she was going to write down

My Sister On the right thought and wrote down her scripture first

 her scripture was

2nd Nephi 2:27

And the second sisters scripture was

Alma 27:18

I got those two scriptures at 10 AM

When I said what I said, the people taking pictures stop taking pictures looked up and smiled at me

I noticed

And said normally, I would ask you for scripture, but you were busy so I’m gonna let you guys have your family time

I then walked around the temple a little bit more and saw somebody else that I felt inspired to go talk to

And I asked him the same thing I said I just got baptized two months ago

I have questions that I’m seeking and I need help

Could you please write down any scriptures that you inspired to write down?

I told him I write down a blog and I’m going to share this and I can either call him brother because I’m really bad at names or if he wants he can write down his name and I’ll use it if he wants but only the first name

This is what I tell everyone

That was at 10:15 AM

I then walked around to the north side of the building

And both benches in the shade were taken

One gentleman was praying and I didn’t want to bother him

And the other one was a couple talking and I didn’t want to bother them

And I also did not want to sit in the sun in my suit jacket when it was about 85° outside 

So I decided I was going to sit up on the little shelf in the shade

And just write in my blog

The young man to my right stop praying and began to get up and he started to walk towards me

So I said, is it OK if I ask you a question?

I explained that I had been baptized two months ago

And this is how I seek answers to my prayers and to my every day life

And then I asked him if I could have a scripture scripture that he wanted that he was inspired to write

I said I write about the scriptures and my life and what’s going on in my blog. Would it be OK if I use your first name or would you rather me just call you, brother?

He then told me his first name and I could use it

He then proceeded to tell me his last name and I said please don’t. I just wanna get to know you by your first name

And then I told him I start everybody. I meet out of 100% and it’s up to them whether they go up or down.

So to me, he was a perfect being right then and there

In my eyes, How i viewed him

He then asked me more about my life

And Dane and I had a almost hour and a half long discussion about life

And Dane has an amazing spirit about him

I feel honored to have been led to dane 

or Dane led to me

The conversation I had with him was very personal

But I will share his favorite scripture

Danes favorite scripture is 

Doctrine and Covenants 58: 1-5

After Dane and I Quit talking

We said our goodbyes and he asked if he could have my number

And I gladly gave it to him

He can call me anytime he needs any questions he has

I truly feel like he is my brother

I proceeded to walk around the rest of the temple and I ran into a few more people that I got inspired to do sticky notepad scripture find… with

Before I forget, today’s notepad, color is bright green

Why that matters I don’t know, but there you go

Next person I got a scripture from 

Just wanted to give me their title he was an elder, getting ready to go into the MTC and he was sitting next to his family getting ready to take pictures

I then asked him for a scripture and this is what he wrote down at 11:30 AM today

As he was thinking of one, I told him that I had just been baptized by senior missionaries, and I was hoping I could give him hope of who he could find and who he could bring back to God

This was the elder Missionaries scripture

John 15:13

His sister then wanted him to write down the scripture for him

And she was very young so when she wrote down the scripture, I was very impressed

Proverbs 3: 5-6 

If you’ve been reading my blog for a while, you’re gonna notice that the scripture comes up a lot and it’s very fascinating to me

Throughout the past month

I got two more scriptures from family members that were with another missionary taking more pictures

This time I said, is it OK if I bother you real quick I want to talk to him and I pointed right at the missionary 

I said I Just got baptized in May and I am so excited for you to go out and to find those that are seeking

And I told him a little bit about my life, but not because they were getting ready to take care of pictures

And then I just asked him for any scripture that he was inspired to Give me

And then handed  it to me 

Then his sister then asked me if I would take a picture of their whole family

I said absolutely, I would be honored too

The dad was having troubles with the son in his eyes, which I totally understand because I’m the same way

So I said, how about you close your eyes for now

And I’m To count backwards from three down to one

 when I say one is when I’m going To take the picture

And I did this and they said the picture turned out great

And he didn’t have to squint because of the really bright sun

The scripture this family gave me was 

2nd Nephi 26:27

I got in my van drove home 

And as I was driving home, I totally remembered that I hadn’t eaten yet today, but I felt fine

Even after work out, that’s not good

So I was thinking, what am I gonna eat when I get home?

Right when I walked in the door, my aunt and my mom said we’re going out to lunch let’s go

And so not more than 10 seconds in the door I was leaving again And we went to Culver’s

In Orem on 800 N.

And one of the employees stood out to me a lot

And I just kept watching him the whole time while everyone else was deciding what they wanted to eat

I already decided I was going to have a chicken sandwich and a ice cream mint marshmallow Shake

But I kept watching this gentleman. I believe he was a manager, but I’m not sure.

I ordered my food

And then this gentleman who is working behind the counter, went outside

And the person that I ordered my food from

Handed me my number and my water cup

And I just stood by the door, not moving

And I got a few weird looks, but I just kept standing there watching the guy outside

He then came in the door and he was talking to one employee

While the other one that was washing, the windows was trying to talk to him

And at the same time, I said, excuse me, 

I would like to talk to you,

 but first I want you to take care of those

 that are talking to you first 

and 

I pointed out each one of them

And I am sure it is nerve-racking when some guy in a suit with sunglasses on says I want to talk to the manager

I stuck at my hand and I said I want to shake your hand

You have an amazing attitude. You were very kind to everybody that you were around and you are so positive you are such an amazing example to everybody around you.

And he said thank you

And then I proceeded to get my drink of water

And the gentleman right next to me, looked at me and said I think he is the same thing that you just said

And I said how about you go tell him that 

Rather then telling me…….

And the gentleman getting the drink, walked away

I sat down and noticed that I had not gotten napkins yet so I got back up and I walked the long way around the counter

Because I had already walked the other way when I went to get my drink

And I ran into the gentleman that I was right next to while I was getting my drink that I talked to

And he said I did what you suggested

Told him the same thing how I feel about him just like you did

He smiled and walked away

I smiled also

And Returned back to my seat

Later, I asked this same gentleman if I could get a fork for my sandwich, a knife and a fork 

He promptly brought it to me

And then he said thank you for giving me a compliment. It is really nice to hear that you were appreciated throughout the day.

I said it was my honor to watch and observe him

What an example of character in to who you believe you should be

He is one of my heroes. I will always look up to him.

I said I’m not sure if he was a manager

But I know he was my brother

With the way that he treated everybody else

As Jesus would

I returned home after lunch

( quick side note today is Thursday, I just stopped into Culver’s and showed him my post  his name is CODY)

Sat down

And wrote down Yesterdays blog

Which drained my iPad completely from 70% down to zero With the battery

So I had to grab my phone

Which started out at 54%

And now I am down to 3% so I have to stop writing this blog today

It is now 7:20 pm

I am exhausted 

I thought I was done, For the day

But i never know

The time is now 10:41 PM

And in between the three hours since I’ve typed two people have contacted me by text

One of them was a good brother that I knew on the PlayStation five

While we played Gran Turismo seven together

He asked me how I was doing, and then I asked him the same

And then I asked him if there was anything that I could pray for him about

He then told me that his mom has cancer

And he is worried

And then I asked if I could have her first name 

so I and others could pray for her

Her name is Sandy

And then another friend from grand turismo seven 

contacted me tonight also 

And told me that his family have been having major health problems also

And so I asked him if I could pray for him

He said yes

And then, as I was laying down to go to bed, I got one more text just now at 10:30 pm

A friend of mine from my past

Just had a tragic fire in his home
