Thursday

 Today I had a very long but very short day

I went to the pool this morning and I went straight back into the maintenance area and I checked a few things and made sure they were all running good

And then I talked to one of the technicians and told them that I would like them to come back and check the chemicals today

Yesterday before I left the pool, I totally forgot but I asked somebody to leave me a scripture

Put it on a sticky  notepad and stick it in the doorway of my maintenance room at the pool

So when I entered the door this morning, this is the very first scripture I got from somebody else for the day

That made me smile because I totally forgot about it

I did a really hard workout today just to get my body moving again from yesterday

As I was leaving the building, I was talking to two of the technicians at the pool

And telling them about possible things coming up

And why they have to have more pool responsibilities now

I then asked each one of them for a scripture

These are what they gave to me

I’m going to try to go on time in order because

 I’ve been writing down what time

Otherwise, it gets really confusing

The very first scripture I got for the day 

other than the one written down 

In my maintenance room

John 3:16

I then asked at the front desk 

for a scripture and I got two different ones from two different people.

 They were excited to give them to me.

( I had to add vesrse 11 because verse 12 was too short.

 It wouldn’t crop that small.)

So I threw in verse 11 in there also so wouldn’t be half a scripture and then what they said in 12 = her scripture)

Also, at the bottom of her note, it says

The second scripture I got from someone else at the front counter at that time was

After I left there, I texted my friend to see if he was working today

And he has had another sick day

This brother of mine when I showed up, he didn’t want to see me, but he was sitting out in the shade under this huge tree, but little bit of shade

And I began to tell him how my day was going, and about some of my problems

Coming up because I trust him

And in the past, I’ve always done things on my own, and it never works out

So this time around I’m going to every one of my friends, my family

And discuss with them what they would do write it down and then pray about it and think about it

Before I do any stupid actions

Then I can follow up with them and others about ideas from other people

And then we can get together and then see what we can do to work it out rather than me thinking I know how to do it

Sorry, another side track

For a week now I have been carrying around a keychain

For Aaron

My very close, brother

He Likes things random things on his keychain that’s one of his fun things that he does

So I got him this

 

After I handed it to him, he said I have to tell you thank you

A little while ago, you came over during one of my hard times and offered some advice

My family took that advice

And the next day something awesome happened

So my close family wanted to tell you thank you

A little later he said 

I am so sorry. I am not feeling good again. I need to go in.

I then realized where I was in Provo and I thought I had not seen this person in a while. I’m gonna go over to their work and see them.

I then went and saw another amazing friend. His name is Ryan.

Told him a lot about what’s going on not everything

And then I said before you give me advice 

this is what I would like

If you would write down any scriptures or quotes that you feel inspired to right down

Please do so…

I handed him a sticky notepad, but he quickly handed it back

This is what Ryan gave me

After I got done talking to Ryan

I told Aaron I was going to a building that he suggested

Which was AbilityFirst Utah

And talk to them about everything going on because Aaron inspired me to do it

And I did it  right now 

while it was fresh on my mind

I talked to them for a little bit 

Gave them my number

 my info and asked them if they would contact me

Before I left, I asked if he would give me a scripture or as many as he wanted

These are the scriptures my brother gave me 

And he wrote these scriptures quickly

 as if they were on the top of his head

Alma 36:3

1st Nephi 20: 20-22

Mormon 9:31

After I left the ability center

I then went back to Aaron’s house again because I forgot

 to tell him things from earlier 

As I was leaving, Aaron’s house I remembered conversation

 I had with Aaron

About someone’s house close by

They really like to celebrate all the holidays

So I wanted to go over there and tell him thank you for being yourself and being who you want to be

And not be ashamed of what you do

I went over to his house and asked him if this was his house

He said no, I’m sorry, but it’s my neighbors house that you’re looking for

And I don’t know how it happened

But him and I sat down for 3 1/2 hours just talking about everything

It was an amazing inspiring beautiful day

He said that I am like Paul of old

I was a total Rebel And then God changed me

What a compliment

He then suggested for me to read about Paul and the New Testament

He also gave me the scriptures

Ezekiel 33-34 

Both chapters

 I’m gonna let you look them up. It’s really long if you want to see the Scriptures he gave me.

Lately I’ve Been having thoughts that I need to prepare for a possible emergency

 I don’t know why 

I don’t know what

But I feel like I need to get at least a three day or 72 hour kit ready

And as I was talking to Dave about this

He mentioned seeds

Rather than packing a ton of food, which is great

It’s kind of like the fisherman story

If you give a man of fish, you will feed him for a day

If you teach him how to Fish you will feed him for a lifetime

Just like the 72 hour kit or your year supply

You can put in temporary items that will feed you temporarily

Or you can think down the line 

the long run

What really are you really going to need?

Do you want plants?

Do you want to sustain your crop?

If you need to

Or do you only want temporary things like snacks and other things that won’t fill you?

They will help, but just temporarily

These thoughts that have been on my mind

After our long conversation

I went right home and took a good long break

And looked up all the scriptures that everybody had given me for the day

I was going through some things and found a scripture from my nephew 

That I have not written down yet, so I need to add this before I forget

It has been in my wallet for quite a while
