Walking upright vs shame
In First Nephi 16: 3 it says…walk upright before God
When a dog gets punished, it puts down its head in shame
The dog knows…….
that you know…
what it did…….
In Mosiah 18:29 it says walk upright, both temporally and spiritually
In Alma 45:24 Those that don’t walk upright grew proud and lifted up above others
In D.C 68:28 teach your children to pray and observe the sabbath by leading and teaching by example.
In D.C 100:15 therefore let your heart be comforted for all things shall work together for good, to them that walk uprightly and I will raise up onto Myself…a pure people
In Helaman 6:34 The once righteous Nephites began to dwindle with unbelievers and began to grow little by little into wickedness
But the lamanites began to grow exceedingly in the knowledge of God
they began to keep all His statutes and commandments
And to walk in uprightness before God
In 2nd Nephi 31:20 It talks about
a perfect Brightness…
Think of a color scale
Brightest white…….All the way down to dirtiest white
No matter how you look at it…
it’s still white…….
Do we want to be like the dog in shame, dirty white, knowing what we’ve done and put our head down in shame when we see God ?
Or do we want to run up and hug our Heavenly Father with all the Love we have Towards Him? Brightest white...
