Tuesday

 This morning I woke up 

I turned on the book of Mormon video where Ammon gets captured and then gets offered many things and all he wants to do is serve

 so I watched the whole video. It was about 20 minutes long and then I got ready for the pool, and I jumped in my vehicle. 

And when I turned on the car. My phone came through the Bluetooth and the same scriptures came up 

 so I got to re-listen to the amazing story of Ammon all over again.

I showed up to the pool got everything that needed to be taken care of so it was safe

 and then I joined a good friend who showed up early so we could talk and workout 

We stayed and talked for about 2 1/2 hours until he had to go to his appointment

As I was leaving.

I was trying to figure out what would be the best thing to do and who I could help

So I turned right and I went the opposite direction on where I thought I was gonna go

I ended up going to a gas station talking to a friend for a little bit

And then I ended up going towards the Provo Towne Center, Temple

And it was closed for maintenance

Which is kind of odd because it only closes on Mondays that I’m aware of

But I always end up going on Monday sometimes anyway

So I couldn’t sit at the temple

 in the Temple so I walked around the Temple for one lap

there was a gentleman meditating outside the grounds, and he meditated the whole lap, which was pretty cool, at least I think he did.

He finished when I was coming back towards my vehicle 

I said hello to him,

And he was in a very negative state. It was odd because he had just meditated for that long.

I walked back to my vehicle

Got in and drove right back towards the pool,

Passed it and then drove home

And then I was thinking about my house, and all the things that I could do at it

And then one of my sister’s comments from last week,

Triggered a memory, and I said I am going to go help her

So I got my bottles of ice out of the freezer and I grabbed an orange and a banana

(I’m not sure why I grabed those yet because I never used them on Tuesday)(maybe I’ll use them for somebody tomorrow to give them away)

And then I called another sister and asked if they needed help

But they told me they already grabbed what they needed for the day and then they told me how bad it was on a project that they were working on

So with her not needing my help, I then knew in my heart that I need to go help my sister, whose name popped in my mind

So I’ve been doing a really fun…for me experiment

Others might not like it, but they should

I have been driving exactly the speed limit at 70 miles an hour

I hit cruise control, so I’m not fluctuating up and down

And I do 70 the whole way on the freeway in one lane, 

not going changing lanes back-and-forth just staying in one lane

And what is amazing to me is it seems like I am the only one doing the speed limit,

Everybody passes me

Occasionally, I get two or three that stay behind me 

because they don’t have to deal with the craziness of all the other drivers

I rarely have to brake, or worry about crazy drivers.

I can just stay in that one lane drive the speed limit

And it’s as if I’m calm and peaceful

 I don’t really have to worry about much

I love it

People wonder why I am going so slow   

And I’m always wondering why they are going so fast

Because I am the only one doing the speed limit

Why are people so addicted to speed?

Having to get somewhere so quickly

Why are we in such a hurry?

I find it odd that people struggle, so hard or so bad

To obey

The speed limit

All you have to do is hit cruise control, which every car now should have.

Who started the dumb rule……..

it’s OK to go 5 miles an hour OVER the LIMIT 

It’s ok 

you won’t get caught

Everybody does it

Why should I be left out?

I have just as much right to go as fast as everybody else. 

Why should I be the slow one?

And WOW!!!

I’ve heard hundreds upon hundreds of people

Use this excuse.   And they justify 

While they try to reason with me…….

why it’s OK to go over the speed limit.

I pulled in to my sisters house

And I knocked on the door and waited 

And when they opened the door, I said I’m here to help

What would you like me to do?

I said, show me what you want me to do I will go out and do it

And you can just stay doing what you’re doing

As if I’m not even here.

So one of the husband in the house,

Showed me what they wanted

And to my surprise, they stayed outside with me

And they helped me the whole time

We had a wonderful conversation about everything

As we were working, we had a lot of their family come out and talk to us while we were working

One person wrote a book

And they shared their book with me as I was working

It was about mermaids, frogs, and little goldfish jumping 

They did a really good job. 

It was fun to hear them. 

Tell their story that they wrote 

while I was working.

I was pulling out amazing flowers, they had overgrown their garden

These  flowers were probably about 4 feet tall 

Very thick

Very hard to walk through

The flowers had gotten underneath all the trees

And so they asked me to clean out 

under all the trees

In a round pattern.

So I removed all the overgrowth under the trees.

so it was just dirt

From the flowers/weeds

They were taking the trees nutrients

Even though the flowers were beautiful, 

they were still acting as weeds 

It was really fun working among the flowers

Because it smelled beautiful out there the whole time

I have no idea how long I worked

But my body started saying 

OK 

Time to rest

 time to slow down 

I went to go get a drink inside of the house

I saw another sister there, and she had started working and cleaning the inside of the house

While, I was doing the outside work

Someone else came

Someone else felt inspired

To come work on the day that I felt inspired

 to come work on this person’s house

And then to my amazement

Even more family just shows up,

It turns into a huge family gathering

They made burgers and fresh french fries

It was wonderful

All of us, then went out back and we played

We went out on the boats

We sat on a metal picnic bench in the middle of the water 

So you can dip your feet in and still stay cool while you’re eating

There are pond lilies, all around the picnic bench 

blooming white flowers

We saw tons of geese and ducks, little fish and I saw one turtle

We got to ride on three different types of boats

It was a very fun and enjoyable experience

And the neatest thing for me during this whole experience

as I was walking back

Towards the house

I heard my dear sister and her husband

Talking about how amazing it was for people to just show up

And begin to work.

And they have been praying for so long

 on how they were going to do it on their own.

I left the house about 7 PM

I turned on cruise control at the speed limit

And drove home safe.

 Perfect conditions for me the whole way home.

 I just picked one lane and went.

Very calm very peaceful. It was wonderful

A perfect drive to a perfect day
